Working student in the Fit4Rail program.

  • Support rail systems engineering for urban and high-speed rail (incl. the Marmaray line), combining office-based engineering work with on-site field activities.
  • Engineered an end-to-end engine that turns station CAD drawings and tender requirements into a complete CCTV design, producing mathematically proven blind-spot-free coverage, cable take-offs, and bills of quantities.
  • Built the system as separable services: a drawing-understanding pipeline (DXF/PDF parsing, wall polygonization, scale verification, automatic zoning), a solver core using set-cover optimization with Google OR-Tools CP-SAT, occlusion-aware ray-cast visibility and Shapely computational geometry, and a tender rules engine where every extracted rule is verified against a verbatim source quote.
  • Integrated a multimodal LLM/VLM layer for room-label reading and classification while keeping coverage guarantees inside the deterministic solver, and added a learning loop that logs each run's gaps and auto-applies user rulings into a local-model fine-tuning pipeline.

A Temporal Fusion Transformer-based three-branch hybrid model performing district-level flood forecasting for all 973 districts of Turkey under a strict leak-free 1-day forecast protocol. The 8-seed ensemble achieves AUC 0.909 (F1 0.84, Precision 0.88, Recall 0.81).
